Inspiration for times of change

July 2026 News

At the Endress+Hauser Global Forum, held from 14 to 16 April 2026, decisionmakers from around the world discussed the sustainable transformation of industry. Three days of in-depth discussions, fresh perspectives and valuable insights brought more than 2000 customers, partners and experts to Basel, Switzerland. The focus was on how companies in the process industry can remain successful and shape the future in an increasingly complex and dynamic world.

“Transformation is no longer a choice, it has become a constant,” said Peter Selders, chief executive officer of Endress+Hauser. “In the face of volatile markets, technological leaps and growing regulatory requirements, it is now more important than ever to actively embrace change. No company can do this alone. With the Global Forum, Endress+Hauser has created a platform where decision makers from across industries and countries can exchange ideas and learn from one another.”

Strategic impetus and practical insights

Under the theme of driving sustainable transformation together, guests looked beyond their day-to-day business while also addressing practical implementations. In five Inspiring sessions, renowned keynote speakers provided wide-ranging insights into how companies can prepare for uncertain developments, stay resilient and capitalise on opportunities.

Goutam Challagalla, professor of strategy and marketing at IMD Business School, demonstrated how companies can embed sustainability into their business operations and turn it into a competitive advantage. AI investor and entrepreneur, Jennifer Zhu Scott explained what constitutes an AI economy and where the true strengths of humans and artificial intelligence lie. Katharina Herrmann, human resources expert and former board member at Hubert Burda Media, outlined the transformation of the labour market and the workforce of the future. Futurist consultant, Nikolas Badminton illustrated how companies can anticipate change and the potential in the circular economy. Business futurist, Jonathan Brill concluded by demonstrating the fundamental strategies companies can use to not only weather crises, but also emerge from them stronger.

Pioneers of transformation share their experiences

While these inspiring sessions took place in the main plenary hall, a total of 16 Insight Sessions offered guests the opportunity to engage with specific individual aspects and case studies in an industry-specific and practical manner. In these smaller group sessions, Endress+Hauser customers and partners presented concrete use cases, shared experiences and discussed success factors. Topics included process optimisation with AI, sustainable growth and co-creation approaches.

Alongside this, Endress+Hauser provided an overview of instrumentation solutions for various industries in an exhibition showcasing the full range of applications. The company also presented product developments not yet on the market. Subsidiaries and industry partners were represented at the exhibition, as were specialist departments within Endress+Hauser such as the sustainability office and the patent department. On the third and final day, guests had the opportunity to visit various Endress+Hauser production sites.

Leveraging the power of cooperation

“The challenge does not lie in understanding what needs to change,” said Selders in his closing remarks. “The real challenge is to implement these changes operationally and to find the right pace.” At the Global Forum, the importance of collaboration was reaffirmed from many quarters. According to the CEO, it is now a matter of building on this. “Here we see what becomes possible when the right people come together and engage in an open, honest dialogue.”
