SAIMC Zambia held customer training sessions via Zoom with VEGA Controls of South Africa, presented by Chris Van den Heever.
The sessions tackled were as follows:
1. Radar basics on Vegapuls 64: applications with liquids such as in storage tanks, dosing tanks, coaxial rods, bypass chambers, etc. Also Vegapuls 69: applications with solids such as silos, hoppers, crushers and bulk solid transfer. (This first session was conducted on 23 April.)
2. Pressure measurement using the Vegabar 82 and density measurement based on standard industrial isotopes – caesium 137 and cobalt 60. (The second sessions were conducted on 30 April.)
The training was very beneficial to members who expressed gratitude on the content. More such online training will enable members to expand their knowledge base even further.
