Honeywell Southern Africa has appointed Makon Engineering as its Technology Partner in Nigeria. With Honeywell's strengths in the chemical and petro-chemical markets, the agreement brings a strong commitment and extensive expertise to the oil, gas, petrochemical and other process industries in Nigeria.
Makon Engineering, established in 1995 in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, has three strategically located offices servicing the south-west, south-east and north-central regions of the country. Some 30 staff members, supported by visionary management, ensure high levels of engineering and technical expertise to the oil production, transportation, chemical and petrochemical processing industries. The company is also active in the food and beverage and manufacturing sectors.
"Our agreement with Honeywell will enable us to contribute to real growth in our local industry where ongoing needs for DCS, field instrumentation and security and access control, will be met with Honeywell's reputation for quality in both products and service," comments Abiodun Makinde, founder and Managing Director of Makon Engineering. The agreement ensures that Honeywell will provide high levels of skill transfer and engineering know-how, building a long-standing partnership for the benefit of all concerned.
