As of 2024, the entire Festo Group has been CO2e-offset in terms of Scope 1 and CO2e-neutral in terms of Scope 2 and reached this ambitious target two years earlier than planned. Scope 1 refers to direct greenhouse gas emissions from sources owned or controlled by the company, such as emissions from onsite fuel combustion. Scope 2 covers indirect emissions resulting from the generation of purchased electricity, steam, heating and cooling used by the company.
