Fluke Corporation, a world leader in compact, professional electronic test tools, announced its parent company, Danaher Corporation, intents to separate Fluke into two independent companies. The new company, to be called Fluke Networks is currently a division of Fluke Corporation.
"This is an exciting opportunity for both companies to focus more closely on their respective businesses," said Tom Gross, President of Fluke Corporation. "We believe a new network solutions company, focused on competing aggressively in the rapidly growing networking market, is necessary to grow this business to its full potential."
As the Networks Division of Fluke, Fluke Networks has been a provider of innovative solutions for ensuring data communications and Internet uptime since 1993. A leader in the handheld network analyser, cable and fibre-optic test markets, Fluke Networks" solutions have been the most awarded test solutions of the decade.
Final plans for the formation of the new company are subject to approval by the Danaher Board of Directors.
