Pick-to-light devices and systems help industrial automation manufacturers reduce the risk of error in the assembly process, ensuring product quality and reducing cost. These devices are also used in kitting and put-to-light operations to ensure high accuracy in fulfilment operations. PTL devices are multifunctional indicators with options for touch button, optical sensor and three-digit displays. They can be connected in series to create a powerful picking system.
The new PTL110 pick-to-light devices from Turck Banner now offer 14 segments and a three-digit display for more ways to indicate part count, use additional letters, and provide instructions. These multifunctional indicators improve speed, productivity and quality in picking, kitting and other related applications. PTL110s offer up to 14 colours and multiple animation functions to differentiate multiple conditions. M12 connectors can be used for quick and secure installation of multiple devices, with no additional cables required. They are powered by PICK-IQ, a purpose-built, Modbus compatible serial bus protocol that uses a common ID to reduce the typical latency that results from polling multiple devices. The PTL110 can be paired with the DXM700 wireless controller for deployment on carts and mobile picking stations.
