Zest electric motors opens new branches

March 2003 News

Prospects for growth in the Eastern Cape have attracted the attention of management at Zest Electric Motors, which has announced the opening of a branch in the city.

"The PE branch is our second new outlet in the last 12 months and joins the offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Rustenburg, Trichardt and several other centres," says branch manager, Wally Wessels. "In addition to our existing industrial and the agricultural customers, it puts us very close to the many development projects in the region."

Zest recently announced the opening of a branch in Rustenburg: "As an important region for mining, industrial and the agricultural sectors, it puts us very close to our customers," said newly-appointed Rustenburg branch manager, Louis Kotze. "Zest has a large number of existing customers here and a branch office will have a significant impact on our ability to look after both them and the new customers we are seeking."

Zest is the southern African distributor for Brazilian motor manufacturer WEG, a brand that has gained wide acceptance since its introduction to the local market 21 years ago.

"WEG motors are already used by many companies in and around PE," adds Wessels. "With an office in town, we will be able to offer better and faster deliveries, service and back-up."

The branch was stocked with a wide range of electric motors prior to its opening and deliveries are already under way to customers in the area. "We are a small team, committed to our customers and determined to grow," concludes Wessels.
