Extech Safety Systems has announced that its Mobile devices are now verified by the Android Enterprise Recommended programme for rugged devices, a Google-led devices that raises the bar of excellence for devices and services built to handle demanding workloads over a longer life cycle.

Some of the Android Enterprise Recommended requirements include:
• Minimum hardware specifications for Android 7.0+ devices.
• Delivery of Android security updates within 90 days of release from Google, for a minimum of 5 years.
• Certified for IP64.
• Meeting strict requirements for harsh conditions and drop tests.
• Support for at least one additional major OS release.
