IFM Electronic is now offering the OJ range of photoelectric sensors with glass lenses and background suppression for use in the food industry and industrial applications.
The high IP68 protection rating guarantees maximum sealing, even in applications that are subjected to frequent cleaning processes, such as those found in the food industry. The sensors are highly resistant to chemicals and are easily mounted by simply snapping them onto a stainless steel clip.
These OJ sensors operate with a visible red light that makes alignment during commissioning easier. With their electronic background suppression the sensors can be set to ensure precise and safe detection of objects with various surfaces, independent of any background.
The OJ sensors have an M8 connection or 150 mm PVC cable with potted M12 connector and a sensing range from 15 to 400 mm (infrared) and 7 to 200 mm (laser). Operating on 10 to 30 V d.c. (200 mA), they have a 1 kHz switching frequency, and switching status, operation and function check are indicated by LEDs.
