March 2003 News Access Control & Identity Management

This year we all had more time to adjust to the New Year with the Control Roadshow only taking place in early February 2003. In addition to the regular spread of technology across a very impressive group of companies, this year saw the inclusion of a further five new exhibitors not previously exposed in this area. Research from the previous year indicated that the 'snake' form of stand layout was not very successful in this venue, and therefore the more traditional form of layout was agreed on for 2003. Exhibitor booking for this show started early during November 2002 and ended up with an excellent mix of equipment on display from the following companies:

AC/DC, Adroit, Anglo Allied, Applecom, ATI Sytems, ASCO, Blanes Instruments, Burkert, CBI, Citect, Danfoss, Dartcom, Dyzertech, Energy Metals, Flexible Electronic, Flowserve, Grintek, HIOKI, Honeywell, IAC, IDX Online, IPC, Instrotech, Krohne, Loadtech, Mantech Electronics, Mega Measurement, N&Z, National Instruments, Newco, NIC Instruments, PREI Instruments, RJ Programmable, RS Components, Shorrock, Siemens, Streamworks, Temperature Controls, Thermo Ramsey, Throughput Tech, VEGA, Yokogawa.

Visitor registrations started slow in the early parts of the day, however, as is the case in so many areas, the numbers increased significantly later on in the day and particularly after business hours. Early days still in the new year and we look forward to a busy and active 2003 with visits to Stellenbosch, Richards Bay, Secunda, Port Elizabeth, East London, Vaal Triangle and Nelspruit still to come. All these venues are listed on the Penmac website at www.penmac.co.za and on-line booking is possible for exhibitors and visitors.
