Woodhead Connectivity has introduced the Brad Harrison push-on micro-change connector family, designed to ease time and labour stress associated with threaded coupling connectors.
The IP 65 rated push-on design allows twist-free coupling of control components and their connectors, freeing valuable time and effort when assembling or maintaining a machine or system, especially those commonly found in environmentally mild automation applications.
According to Woodhead Connectivity, there is a need for this style of connector, as not every automation application requires submersible types. The new push-on family mates with any 12 mm proximity switch or other 12 mm control component by lining up the keyways and pushing the two devices together. This eliminates the need for the installer to work his fingers into tight areas to 'turn down' the coupling nut. A further benefit from the exclusion of the coupling nut is that the problem of 'back-off' is virtually eliminated. The design also provides good vibration resistance.
