The Erbic Profibus switch allows flexible design of Profibus systems and hassle free system extension. The external switch that turns the termination off and on is the key feature of the device. In a network extension, the appropriate active termination connector can easily be switched to a node connector without terminating the system. Additionally, while trouble shooting the network, the appropriate node connector can be terminated and separated from adjacent network participants. This allows the remaining system to continue operation without disruption.

The Erbic Profibus Switch is suitable for use at data rates up to 12 Mbit/s, through integrated SMT Inductors. A second version for trouble shooting/servicing (D-Sub) is available upon request (part number: 134728). Features include a horizontal cable outlet, suitable for use with D-Sub pin configuration Profibus, an external switch to activate and deactivate termination and activated termination that separates bus participants.
