Supplier extends its aluminium profile range

February 2003 News

Following the merger in Germany of Bosch Assembly Technologies and Rexroth Star Linear, Tectra Automation, the sole importer of Rexroth Linear and Assembly Technology products, has access to the largest range of aluminium profiles from one supplier in the world.

Supplementing the existing Bosch range of profiles, Rexroth has included the 40 and 50 mm sizes, providing customers with an unparalleled selection of profiles for any application. The Rexroth FMS range now includes 20, 30, 40, 45, 50, 60, 80, 90, 100 and 200 mm sizes, as well as a large range of accessories to complement each size.

"The new range enables Tectra Automation to offer purpose made profiles for applications such as guarding, manual workplaces, conveyors and even complete automated transfer systems," states Kevin Lombard, Tectra Automation linear manager.

Rexroth has developed the connection elements to enable the Star range of linear motion products to be combined easily with the assembly technology range of products. This allows customers to build frames incorporating linear movement in a fraction of the time it would normally take using conventional, together with a significant cost saving.

Tectra Automation, comprising a drive and control, linear motion, pneumatic and project divisions, offers customers a one-stop-shop supply and design assistance for projects ranging from a single axis linear movement to complex machines involving several axes.
