Foxboro's I/A Series pressure transmitters combine field-proven silicon strain-gauge technology with simplified, advanced packaging to achieve high reliability and durability in an intelligent transmitter. The complete family of transmitters covers a broad range of pressure and level applications including differential, gauge, and absolute pressure, as well as remote seal and flanged level.
A wide variety of materials, flange sizes, and other options are available. Each transmitter uses the same innovative topworks packaging with the same choice of interchangeable intelligent modules, simplifying installation, operation, servicing, and spare parts requirements.
Choice of modules includes the FOXCOM module, which provides the highest level of intelligence, with configurable selection of either 4-20 mA or digital output and configuration from any of four sources. Alternatively, the 4-20 mA module is economical and includes pushbutton operation and configuration for zero and span, linear or square root output, damping and other functions. An integral LCD display can be configured for direct display in plant engineering units.
Available from Protea Automation Solutions, the I/A Series pressure transmitters were designed to be fieldbus ready, accepting a fieldbus-compatible module without requiring any other transmitter modifications.
By standardising on 316 stainless steel process covers and highly corrosion-resistant cobalt-nickel-chrome sensors, these transmitters provide the optimum in process corrosion protection at a standard price, which means longer service life without the extra cost for exotic materials.
