Inductive proximity switches for automotive industry
September 2002
Operator Interfaces, Switches & Relays
IFM Electronic's IMC/IDC inductive proximity switches have high sensing ranges and are designed for use in transport and conveyor systems in the automotive industry. The compact IMC offers a 35 mm sensing range, nonflush mounting, and its active face can be angled to suit individual applications by simply screwing it into the clamp. The IDC has a sensing range of 50 mm flush or over flush mounting and can easily be snapped-in for rail mounting.
Installation is fast and easy due to the pre-mounted clamp or rail mounting. Their rugged metal connector can be turned in any position and clearly visible LEDs provide the switching status and operating voltage. Operating on 10-36 V d.c., the sensors are housed in resistant plastic, meet IP65 protection requirements and connection is via a M12 plug and socket.
