Advantech's LOGpen-10 is a cost-effective intelligent temperature datalogger designed to measure and record temperatures. It has a robust pen shaped design and is easily installed in any location. LOGpen-10 connects to a PC through an RS232 serial port. Configuration of LOGpen-10 and downloading its data to a computer is easily accomplished using the bundled software utility. The instrument is highly resistant to water, shock and corrosion.
The datalogger can record 4000 samples or, if required, up to 8000 on request, with a sampling period ranging from 1 s to 18 h. It measures temperatures from -40 to 80°C with an accuracy of ±1°C. An internal clock allows users to preset a recording start time.
When the memory capacity is reached, users can set the instrument to either overwrite the earliest data or to stop recording measurements. The nonvolatile memory can store all data, even during power failure or battery removal.
Users can set a high and/or low temperature limit, and once these limits are set, the user can tell at a glance whether LOGpen-10 is operating and if the temperature has strayed outside its preset range. LEDs indicate the operational status identifying abnormal temperatures. An easy to use software utility is included which sets the time clock, high and low alarm limits, logging period and mode and various other functions.
