Remote intelligence through GSM technology

Up till now, remote control of distant machinery - or information on the security status of remote building, or the status of remote machinery - has been reserved for only very high value installations where the high costs of radio telemetry can be justified.

Until now, wireless communications solutions (radio-frequency telemetry) have typically been complex, entirely hardware based and extremely cost intensive, leaving systems and machines used by industries with narrow margins out in the cold.

Today, a cost-effective solution is available through the normal cellphone (GSM) networks.

One of these solutions comes from CellGard; it makes the machine-to-machine, or M2M, communication revolution a reality.

Machinery suppliers can now have CellGard GSM telemetry systems integrated with their original equipment - giving them an advantage over competitors and boosting their marketing drives. Robust, industrial-spec hardware, built in South Africa under ISO 9002 manufacturing standards, is combined with versatile and user-friendly built-in software to provide maximum cost efficiency.

Communications to and from normal cellphones are part of the CellGard systems. This integration will enable the user to quickly and inexpensively install sophisticated M2M telemetry using the robust and commercially proven South African GSM networks.
