Process Automation & IT Exhibition to be held at Kyalami in 2003

The Process Automation & Information Technology 2003 exhibition will be held at the Kyalami Exhibition Centre in Midrand, Gauteng, from 20-22 May 2003.

Previously known as the Process Control & Automation Exhibition and jointly managed by Hanli Nangle and Reed Exhibitions South Africa, next year's exhibition will be solely orchestrated and managed by Nangle (events director), partnered by James Kritzinger, both of élancommunications.

Nangle, who has a strong grounding in the telecommunications and process industries, has been responsible for the sales, marketing and logistics of the Process Control & Automation exhibition since its early days, and was a director of Ocean Media, which was also responsible for the launch of the publication What's New in Processing?

Managing director of élancommunications, Kritzinger, has a rich history in the events coordination industry dating back to 1981. Most recently he was managing director of the MTN Sundome with responsibility for its transformation into a premier entertainment facility.

élancommunications was formed last year and specialises in project managing all aspects of marketing and related services of customer relationships through its strategic business partners that have been hand picked for their vast experience and performance within the industries that they serve.

Exhibition focus

Integrated solutions for: automation, business management, logistics management, safety and risk management, e-business, Internet and communications management, manufacturing executions and process optimisation.

Systems for: human machine interfaces, industrial computers and PCs, process control, information management, communication, monitoring, security and scada, ID and image processing, analysing, drives, microcontrollers.

Devices including: sensors and measuring equipment, balances, analysers, actuators, drives, quality and test equipment, switchgear, auxiliary electric power supplies, UPSs, Communication equipment and components, other automation components and accessories.

Industries including: automation, agriculture, automotive, chemical, food and beverage, metals, laboratories, manufacturing, mining, municipal, packaging, pulp and paper, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, textiles and water/waste water.

The exhibition is laid out in a strategic extended 's'-shape, so that traffic flow takes visitors around every single stand on the exhibition. Maximum stand space available is 36 m2, and the exhibition will house over 100 companies on stands of varying sizes. Next year's exhibitors will enjoy extended value-added services such as exposure on the show's virtual website, a post-show directory, a free public relations service and exhibitor training.
