Omniflex has announced the release of another OMNI16C Annunciator variant with intrinsically safe inputs for hazardous area use. This complements the lineup of hazardous area annunciation products from Omniflex which now comprises:
* Intrinsically safe displays.
* Nonspark displays.
* Nonsparking annunciator.
* Intrinsically safe input annunciator (new).
Building upon the 30 plus years of experience in the field of intrinsic safety and nonsparking instrumentation for industry, Omniflex continues to provide solutions for hazardous area applications. The latest of which will give users an annunciator with intrinsically safe inputs resulting in considerable savings on safety barriers in these applications.
For applications where the annunciator or display must be mounted in the hazardous area the nonsparking annunciator variants are used, but in cases where the annunciator is located in the safe area, the inputs need to be certified as intrinsically safe in order to be connected to the field-wiring coming from within the hazardous area.
