LSIS obtains Ex rating for HMI range

March 2019 IS & Ex

Starting with the iXP2 premium series of HMIs, in the latter half of 2018 LSIS began rolling out the Ex certification for the entire range of these exceptional products. The products carry the rating outlined in IEC Annex II of Directive 2014/34/EU, which allows for a maximum pollution degree 2 level. Mounting the HMIs into an IP54 enclosure ensures full compliance with Ex nA, or in an IP66 cabinet, with Ex tc.

The new EX certification adds only a nominal cost to the well-priced product range.

All LSIS HMIs have high-density colour displays, with the iXP2 and eXP ranges having 24 bit and 16 bit colour resolution respectively (16,7 million and 65 536 colours).

Displays can be configured for either portrait or landscape depiction and the products are compatible with virtually every make of PLC, the required driver being selected during the programming phase. Web-Server and VNC functionality are standard on all units.

As always, the programming package, XP-Builder, is provided free of charge.
