Distribution network for Testo
September 2000
News
A distribution network for Testo's portable instrumentation has been set up in South Africa and neighbouring territories.
UniTemp was appointed by Testo in early 1999 and was tasked to set up a country-wide distribution network for this quality range of portable and process instruments manufactured by Testo in Germany.
"We have appointed authorised dealers in most areas now. Each of the dealers has been selected following a stringent set of criteria and an on-going training program ensures that professional advice and support is provided. We find that many users remember the old Testo-therm range and are delighted that Testo is again represented and available in the country," comments Dieter Bütow, National Sales Manager for UniTemp in SA.
Authorised dealers have already been appointed in Gauteng, Western Cape, North-west Province, Durban, Richards Bay, Port Elizabeth, Namibia and Zimbabwe. Besides regional representation, UniTemp is appointing a number of specialists in the food industry, airconditioning and ventilation as well as for flue-gas related applications on boilers and furnaces.
"Testo is world-renowned for their broad spectrum of portable instrumentation for temperature, humidity, velocity, flue gas, pH, water activity as well as ambient monitoring of gases, light intensity, sound levels and so on. It is in the field of humidity where Testo is an absolute leader both in portable as well as fixed installations due to their unique design of their humidity sensor. It is long-term stable, even under high temperature and high humidity conditions," adds Hans Hitzeroth, Managing Member of the company.
