Omron’s EtherCat solutions and IoT devices will take centre stage on its stand at Africa Automation Fair 2017. “In particular, a new IoT EtherCat module will be launched,” highlights country general manager Victor Marques. “There will also be a strong emphasis on Omron’s Sysmac motion solutions, comprising robotics and visual inspection control.”

The Omron product range on display will include Sysmac motion and PLC control, NX remote I/O, vision systems, safety products, servos, VSDs HMIs and general control components. Marques explains that Omron’s exhibit will appeal to customers on the lookout for cost-effective and innovative solutions that meet, and even exceed, their requirements. “We are looking to target OEMs in particular and food and beverage
end-user customers,” he says. “The benefit of attending such an exhibition is that customers can approach Omron in a more informal, yet professional, manner with specific solutions enquiries.
“We have strong experience and references in areas such as motion and drive control, PLCs and HMI, automation networks, and visual inspection control and robotics. We will have application engineers on hand to field high-end technical questions, as well as managers to show our commitment to meeting our customers’ needs from the top down.”
