Everswitch is a unique family of products deploying piezo ceramic technology, this allows switches to be activated by finger pressure - this makes it possible to produce totally sealed units. It incorporates a patented combination of piezo components, state-of-the-art electronics and a rigid metal casing. Intrinsically safe parts operation is also catered for in the existing range.

The product is completely sealed, both at the front and back. The surface consists of one-piece metallic material, and the back is fully potted. Life expectancy is virtually unlimited as since there are no moving parts, there is no material or mechanical fatigue.

Capable of withstanding a challenging environment, its surface can be chemically cleaned and the keyboard will continue to operate with a high level of reliability. The product has been touch tested over 50 million cycles.

Various materials may be used in the manufacture of Everswitch products. The surface can undergo a number of graphic processes such as engraving, etching, laser engraving and anodised printing. The panel surface comes in various structures flat or embossed with raised borders for individual keys. The surface can be easily cleaned using common cleaning procedures and detergents. The unique design and construction make the entire line impervious to dust, sand and chemicals. The products can be used when covered with ice, and the temperatures ranging from -40 to +125°C.

Capabilities range from micro amps to amps. The multipurpose terminals on the keyboard allow for a variety of customer interfaces. The switches and keyboards can activate DC or AC systems. Designed for maximum versatility, they will also interface with all digital logic circuitry such as CMOS, TTL, etc.
