Dehn Africa reflects on Africa Utility Week 2016

August 2016 News

Dehn Africa and local partner, Lightning Protection Services (ULPS), participated in the recent 16th annual African Utility Week and Clean Power Africa, held recently at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

This was the second year of involvement for both ULPS and Dehn Africa as the two organisations booked a combined stand to highlight Dehn’s lightning and surge protection offering as well as safety equipment. The two companies did not just focus on products, but also educated delegates through technical workshops about the importance of proper lightning and surge protection solutions for rooftops and standalone PV plants.

“Together with ULPS, Dehn Africa had a positive experience at African Utility Week,” comments sales and marketing director Kirk Risch. “We believe that the event is a great platform to reach the African energy sector professionals and inform them about our capabilities as well as for us to learn about other products in the industry. It is also an ideal arena to interact and network with like-minded organisations and individuals.

“The energy sector in Africa has immense potential, even though it is faced with many challenges. It is part of our mission to alleviate some of these problems by sharing our knowledge through the DEHNacademy training programme for young graduates. We are pleased to contribute in moving the industry forward in any way possible.”
