These versatile units have a wide range of applications including determining and controlling speed and direction of rotation, slip, flow rates and volumetric data.
Depending on the measuring task, many different equipment settings may be needed. All the essential settings may be performed directly on the device, or via a convenient PC. Both methods enable the user to carry out the appropriate parameter assignment simply and quickly.
Features included are: speed monitor, frequency converter, pulse divider, direction of rotation indicator, synchronisation monitor and time relay.
AC or DC
Universal voltage version for operation on all commonly used supply voltages. DC version with power rail supply and centralised fault indication on the power rail.
The settings for the new logic control unit can be made either at the controls provided on the device, or via the PACTware software, using a PC.
Saving costs
One device may be used for a combination of tasks, eg limit value monitoring and output of the measured values via a 20 mA signal. The universal applicability of the devices also enables the user to rationalise planning, procurement and stores holdings.
Controls and indicators
A two-line LC display and four buttons are provided. By using these and the self-explanatory software, users can make all the settings required - without exhaustive study of the handbook.
Free software
Users can make yet more settings on the logic control unit with the aid of the PACTware software. In addition to the screen form for inputs and outputs, there are special functions such as simulation, measured value and status displays, in order to optimally adapt the unit to the application. Device adjustment data is stored by the PACTware in the device and on the PC and is always available for documentation purposes. The offline parameter assignment means that setting from an office desk - without a device connected - is possible. PACTware may be downloaded from the Internet free of charge: www.pepperl-fuchs.com
