The digital positioners of the Schubert & Salzer 8049 series are based on high-precision loop control systems that control the exact positioning of wire-matic linear and part-turn actuators in control valves. The DeviceConfig V7 configuration software is the ideal tool for parameter setting, operator control and maintenance of the digital positioners.
Simply install the Bluetooth plug & play module in the 8049 series digital positioner, and the DeviceConfig V7 configuration software will connect wirelessly from the laptop to the control valve – ideal for positioners in difficult-to-access or hazardous locations.
Schubert & Salzer Control Systems has developed a Bluetooth module in order to connect its control valves easily. When using the Bluetooth module, DeviceConfig V7 connects wirelessly to the digital positioners over a range of about 25 metres. That makes it particularly suitable for parameterisation and monitoring of control valves in difficult-to-access systems.
The Bluetooth card available in most laptops is all that is needed to connect to the positioners. Running on a laptop, DeviceConfig V7 locates all locally accessible Schubert & Salzer Bluetooth devices and lists them by device identifier and number. This provides an easy way to access the devices from a control station and poll maintenance data at any time. It is the ideal solution for control valves installed in tightly packed systems, close to hot pipes or in hazardous locations or other no-go areas.
The plug & play Bluetooth module can also be easily upgraded in existing 8049 series digital positioners in the 4-wire using version V5 or higher. The module supports all functionalities of DeviceConfig V7, including live monitoring.
Barcode evolution: The smart choice for modern tracking and compliance Part 1
Industrial Wireless
Imagine a world without barcodes, where every item in a warehouse is manually recorded, checkout lines stretch endlessly, and supply chain tracking relies on handwritten logs. It sounds like a logistical nightmare, yet this is how businesses conducted business historically. Today, barcodes are so deeply embedded in modern operations that their impact often goes unnoticed.
