Mitech is a local manufacturer of a wide range of valves, actuators and related equipment and has recently exported a stepped valve to the Philippines. The valve had to fit existing piping with a very short face-to-face and a vertical step between the inlet and outlet. The stainless steel 200 ml/400 ml stepped valve met ASME Class 1500 and Class 600 at the inlet and outlet respectively. The medium was superheated steam at an inlet pressure of 106 bar (A) and a temperature of 540°C. The outlet pressure was 3.5 bar (A) and the flow rate varied from 30 to 80 tons/h.
