Harting Technology Group and Hiconnex Industrial entered into a distribution agreement effective from 1 July 2014. According to Hiconnex CEO Hitesh Pema, this will allow the company to extend its current product and service offering in the industrial market. “We are proud to be associated with such a respected brand as Harting and this association strengthens our position as a leading supplier of interconnect solutions in the South African market.”

Harting is skilled in the fields of electrical, electronic and optical connection, transmission and networking, as well as in manufacturing, mechatronics and software creation. The Group uses these skills to develop customised solutions and products such as connectors for energy and data transmission applications including, for example, mechanical engineering, rail technology, wind energy plants, factory automation and the telecommunications sector. Harting also produces electro-magnetic components for the automotive industry and is a specialist in industrial applications in the form of enclosures, housings and cabling, as well as automated vending systems.
Hiconnex has been in existence since January 1983 and now operates from offices in Centurion. With 30 years’ experience in the cable and connector industry, Hiconnex is equipped to provide personalised service to all current and prospective customers in the general industrial, oil and gas, renewable energy, mining and rail industries. In addition to providing a complete range of products, the company also provides turnkey solutions in harnessing and fibre optic assembly.
