Often one can get into a tight spot when trying to add analog or temperature inputs to a low-cost PLC. The problem is that most small PLCs do not have analog inputs. The same is true with most motion controllers. An easy way to add these inputs to any system is to use a Red Lion Paradigm operator interface as a gateway between the PLC and one or more IxMS series modules. The IAMS module accepts 18 different types of process voltage and current signals, and the ITMS module accepts 12 different types of temperature sensor signals.

Its unique ability to talk multiple protocols allows it to exchange data between the PLC or motion controller and the IxMS modules. Adding analog signals to any system is now quite easy.
