Ana-Digi Systems commits to energy savings

With all the talk concerning energy savings, Ana-Digi Systems has embarked on a concerted effort to install both LV and MV Variable Speed AC drives in industrial ventilation and pumping systems around South Africa.

In tying up with specialist energy savings companies, Ana-Digi has installed in the region of 4 MW of energy saving drives since October 2013. A further 12 MW are expected to be installed within the near future. These systems, in replacing the usual damper systems, have yielded power savings of 40% or more due to the optimisation of the various processes.

Standalone solar powered pumping systems are also currently being developed and this new technology promises big things for the future. With the cost of solar power equipment coming down, solar energy is rapidly becoming one of the most cost-effective sources of electrical power. Combine this with the amount of sun available in South Arica and the vast open spaces without electricity, and these solar systems offer new and viable solutions to any industry requiring water to be pumped. The main benefactors of the systems are farmers, mining, water and sewerage plants, and many other related industries.

Ana-Digi Systems has branches in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Bloemfontein and Port Elizabeth, with Elonics being its active distributor in KwaZulu-Natal.
