Dehn Protection South Africa, the recently established local subsidiary of German based lightning and surge protection, earthing components and safety equipment manufacturer, Dehn + Söhne, has announced the appointment of three new associates to the company.
Kirk S Risch, sales manager, has joined the company to oversee the development of new sales channels. Risch is responsible for conducting market specific research and developing as well as implementing sales and marketing strategies for the full product offering. He will undertake specification work with consulting engineers, key end-users and standards committees, like SABS, whilst providing technical sales and guidance through lectures and seminars.
Johannes Oelofse, sales engineer, will work closely with consulting engineers and key end-users to assess technical specifications and assist with product management and selection. He will fulfil a technical sales, guidance and support function.
Along with product management and branding, newly appointed business development manager, Edgar Botes, will be responsible for developing the market for the Yellow/Line product offering and evolving relevant marketing and sales strategies for implementation in this segment.
Alexis Barwise, managing director of Dehn Protection South Africa says that the market slowdown in Europe led Dehn + Söhne to seek expansion
opportunities in developing regions. “Our focus in southern Africa is on the local telecommunications, oil and gas, energy supply, transportation, mining and solar sectors, and we are set to broaden our product and solution offering within the marketplace. Through these three strategic appointments, we are geared up to do exactly this.”
As a team, the new staff members will also be responsible for the ongoing training of partners.
