Invensys gets ISO 9001 certification

March 2013 News

Invensys Operations Management southern Africa has received ISO 9001:2008 accreditation for its sustained excellence in the marketing, sales, design, implementation and support of the Invensys solutions set. A division of EOH Mthombo, the company is a global provider of technology systems, software solutions and consulting services to the manufacturing and infrastructure operations industries.

To qualify for ISO 9001:2008 certification, a company must demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system. This includes processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

“We are very pleased to have achieved this certification and it is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of everyone here at Invensys Operations Management southern Africa,” said managing director Mike le Plastrier.

“Conforming with ISO 9001:2008 requirements means that we have to keep a highly visible audit trail for both internal and external audits,” said Nirusha Moodley, Invensys quality manager“. This includes strict control of documents and records while taking immediate corrective action to address issues of non-conformance with quality criteria. Having an effective quality assurance process means that we can take preventative action before potential problems develop into more serious issues. Effective feedback also means that we know what worked and what did not, which creates the right conditions for continuous and incremental improvement.”
