Mud drum blowdown valves go automatic

The manual mud drum blowdown valve is found on most boilers to clean the drum of all unwanted dirt and grime that collects at the bottom of the drum during normal operating conditions. Applications vary from boiler to boiler as each boiler is designed for specific pressures and temperatures.

Mitech's automated globe control valves have been installed successfully and are used extensively in the sugar industry as they eliminate the need for the operator to manually blow down the boiler. The valves have recently become a recognised standard in the sugar industry.

The Mitech globe control valves are built with a stellited plug and seat, an oversized actuator and extended mounting bars. Flanges are 600# and they can have either on/off or modulated control.
