AC/DC Dynamics supplies robust, heavy duty, pull-wire safety trip switches, alignment switches and speed switches which monitor conveyor belts and minimise downtime. Conveyor belts are widely used to move wood chips, coal, ore and grain over various distances, but when something goes wrong, such as when the belt slips off or breaks, they can be dangerous and involve many hours of lost production time. The operator working alongside the conveyor also needs to be able to stop the conveyor in the event of an emergency.

Easy to install, the conveyor pull-wire switches are located at intervals along the walkway next to the belt and have standard 5x8 mm PVC-covered steel pull-wire, which is tensioned between each switch. When the wire is pulled the switch latches, stopping the conveyor and releasing a red flag indicator for simple visibility. This indicates which switch needs to be reset when the conveyor is restarted. The robust design and high quality of these switches result in a long, trouble-free life in arduous conditions.
