MESA SA 'Adapt or Die' 2012 conference
August 2012
News
MESA SA has announced that the 2012 MESA Conference is scheduled for 13 and 14 November at the Indaba Hotel, Fourways. The theme this year is ‘Adapt or Die’.
On the first morning, the organisation will run the Executive Education Program session designed by the MESA Global Education Program (GEP) members. This session is a half-day specifically aimed at the busy executive that cannot afford to be out of the office for a full day or more. The session provides an overview of MES/MOM, where it fits in the organisation, the difference between MES/MOM and ERP systems, where and how to deploy them and the benefits and pitfalls of each.
In the afternoon, the conference proceedings kick off with an international speaker followed by user case-studies and concluding with a networking session for the delegates. As per request from our vendors and sponsors, MESA SA also plans to have an exhibition hall available this year where teas and lunches will be served. This will give the exhibitors more time to interact with users and provide exhibitors more space than previous years.
In addition, there will be a post-conference training programme on the 15 and 16 of November to present the two-day Certificate of Awareness (CoA) GEP training. This training is aimed at operational and project managers responsible for MES/MOM systems and sales and marketing people from vendors. Registration for this training can be done directly on the MESA International website (www.mesa.org).
Call for papers, sponsors and exhibitors
MESA SA is sending out a ‘Call for Papers’ based on the conference theme. The executive committee will be looking for real-life case studies that indicate how a company changed or adapted its way of working in order to cope with change in the environment or to increase the cost-effectiveness of operations. More detailed information on papers, sponsorship opportunities and the exhibition can be downloaded at http://instrumentation.co.za/+C16855
