PSV Mitech factory tour
June 2012
News
PSV Mitech recently held a function where clients were given a tour of its manufacturing facility in Elandsfontein, Johannesburg. The state-of-the-art facility has capabilities for component machining, valve assembly and testing. A broad range of valves, including globe, sweep angle, damper and severe service control valves, as well as a range of positioners, actuators and desuperheaters, are locally designed and manufactured.
Quality has always been of top priority and every stage of the manufacturing process, from casting to assembly and testing is done in-house. The advanced manufacturing unit enables the company to design and manufacture its product range to meet international quality standards in a facility that is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accredited. The products are also tested against the highest performance, design, energy efficiency and durability requirements.
During the function, managing director Greg Walker announced that two new products would be launched in the coming weeks. Research and development has been finalised and manufacturing is underway on a new desuperheater and severe service disk stack. Details will be released shortly.
