Valves, Actuators & Pump Control
Secure and fast applications in process plants.
The new Gemü 4242 combi switchbox is small, compact and light, and is ideal for pneumatically operated linear actuators. With its integrated 3/2-way pilot valve made of anodised aluminium or stainless steel, the new combi is especially designed for smaller and medium nominal sizes. It is particularly well suited for secure and fast applications with a stroke of 2 to 30 mm.
Green technology brings benefits to the customer
Green engineering is part of the Gemü portfolio. The future-oriented company philosophy immediately brings customers twofold economic advantages: by means of competitive pricing in purchasing, but also in assembly and the range of functions. The pneumatic and electrical connections of the combi switchbox save space and enable easy access as they are positioned in one direction. This means that the switchbox can be fitted quickly and easily without any great need for cabling; servicing is easier as well. Mounting and commissioning is made simpler by a speed-AP function and a manual override enables fast diaphragm change. This all saves time and money and reduces the planning efforts.
Large range of functionality
Gemü 4242 integrates functions that render other accessories superfluous. The combi switchbox has a microprocessor-controlled, intelligent position sensor and an integrated analogue travel sensor system. The unit provides extended diagnostics and reports various programming, sensor and pneumatic faults with high visibility. The end positions are programmed on site via the reed contact without the need for a PLC connection. The housing therefore need not be opened, making openings in the housing for buttons and switches unnecessary.
System solutions for complex procedures and processes
The robust housing has been solidly built to meet ATEX requirements and has a transparent cover. Travel sensors, switching valves and status LEDs have been integrated into the housing with connections made via a standard M12 connector. In addition to discrete switching and feedback, there are bus connections for the AS interface, DeviceNet and also the option to connect using the I/O link communication interface. The combi switchbox can be used in most industrial sectors and process plants for local activation of valves. Gemü provides system solutions for complex procedures and processes. In such situations, the 4242 combi switchbox sets the standards, thanks to its intelligent position sensor with integrated travel sensor system and the high visibility position indicator.
