Emerson Process Management’s Rosemount business unit was named a Thomson Reuters 2011 Top 100 Global Innovator SM, recognising its achievements as one of the world’s most innovative companies. The programme, an initiative issued by the IP Solutions business of Thomson Reuters, analyses patent data and related metrics in a proprietary methodology to identify the most influential organisations globally.
The Thomson Reuters 2011 Top Global Innovators programme evaluates innovation performance according to companies that invent on a significant scale, work on developments that are acknowledged as innovative by others around the world and whose inventions are globally protected due to their importance.
“Being recognised as a top global innovator is truly an honour,” said Tom Moser, president of Rosemount. “We believe that innovation must deliver customer value to be worthwhile. The true test of being an innovative company is if you have been able to help your customers address their challenges in more effective ways than before. That is what we strive for every day.”
The Rosemount product offering includes a complete line of pressure, temperature, flow, level, and safety measurement instrumentation. “Innovation is a means of growth and prosperity for companies and nations struggling to overcome sluggish economies and achieve competitive advantage,” said David Brown, president of the IP Solutions business of Thomson Reuters. “We salute the Thomson Reuters 2011 Top 100 Global Innovator companies and their leaders for the innovative spirit they foster and their commitment to protecting intellectual assets.”
