Invensys represented by EOH in sub-Saharan Africa

November 2011 News

At a colourful function in Johannesburg’s Turbine Hall, Invensys Operations Management announced recently that EOH will be its sole representative in sub-Saharan Africa.

“Bringing Wonderware and the rest of the Invensys business under one EOH roof in South Africa is great news for our customers,” said Deon van Aardt, MD of Wonderware Southern Africa. “We are proud to be part of such a depth and breadth of proven solutions backed by some of the most knowledgeable people in the business. This is another milestone in the elimination of artificial boundaries between solutions and their application in the field.”

Invensys Operations Management is comprised of Avantis, Eurotherm, Foxboro, IMServ, SimSci-Esscor, Skelta, Triconex and Wonderware. Wonderware Southern Africa, a member of the EOH group, has supplied and supported Wonderware’s industry-leading solutions for the last 20 years under the Invensys banner and for the last eight within the EOH community of companies. This natural synergy is now being reinforced with the addition of other business units from the Invensys Operations Management stable.

“EOH’s successful track record in the mining and manufacturing sector creates a solid foundation for Invensys Operations Management to work from,” said Asher Bohbot, chief executive officer of EOH. “South Africa has an aggressive energy expansion goal as the leading economic power in Africa and is a key player in the continent’s energy and oil industries. The country plays an increasingly vital role in the global process industry, including the upstream oil and gas and power generation markets, with coal-based fuels being a significant component of the nation’s energy sector. Our new agreement with Invensys allows us to deliver exceptional service and support to these important customers as they pursue real-time operational excellence.”

EOH follows the Consulting, Technology and Outsourcing model to provide high value, end-to-end solutions to its clients in all industry verticals.
