Outstanding achievements award in the energy industry
October 2011
News
The 2011 Southern African Association for Energy Efficiency (SAEE) Energy Awards Programme nominations are open for any new energy companies, any persons who have recently joined the energy industry, or persons and companies that have made an outstanding contribution towards improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions. This year the SAEE also launched the Energy Project of the Year category, open to energy efficiency projects within the region that includes aspects of energy management or renewable energy installations in the residential, commercial or industrial sectors.
Awards are presented at the SAEE’s annual banquet and awards ceremony, held as part of the opening of the annual Southern African Energy Efficiency Convention (SAEEC2011) and Exhibition. The SAEE awards programme recognises the outstanding accomplishments of individuals and companies in the energy field and entries can be accepted in the following categories:
* Energy company of the year.
* Energy newcomer of the year.
* Excellence award.
* Energy project of the year.
To recognise and honour persons who have served the energy industry through selfless dedication and commitment, particularly in the fields of engineering, built environment, environmental studies and energy efficiency, the SAEE Hall of Fame serves this purpose. Nominations for this year’s Hall of Fame and Energy Awards programme close on 30 September.
