Arca has received an order for the delivery of 100 control valves to a new polymerisation plant under construction in the Ukraine. In the new plant, polyamide is produced that will be processed to tyre cord for carcasses.
The valves, in nominal widths DN 25 up to DN 250, are made from cast or stainless steel and equipped with the compact type 812 multispring actuators and Arcapro type 827A positioners.
A particular challenge was the valves for the smelter as these had to be of special design with double pipe heating jackets. Here, the pipe for the medium is surrounded by a second pipe for heating purposes, in this way solidification in the pipe is prevented. In addition, the valves are equipped with welding ends for direct welding into the double pipeline without flanges being necessary for connection.
