The Escort-2000 process calibrator/meter, from ProMicro, simultaneously generates and measures signals. It can be used for instrument system maintenance as well as maintaining and servicing industrial meters, which are in turn used for testing electronic circuits and electronic equipment. Testing of sensors for automotive or automatic control systems can also be performed.
In addition to performing as a high accuracy d.c. voltage and current source, the device can also generate square wave with PWM features. Measurement data may be recorded via its RS232 interface, filed and printed. It has a 40 000 count, backlit display and the squarewave generator has a wide frequency range, with adjustable pulse width and duty cycle.
There are three calibrating and 12 multimeter functions. The multifunction calibrator measures mA, voltage and frequency, and the current and voltage source output has an accuracy of 0,03%. The constant current source is rated for a load of up to 500 W. There is also a ±25 mA bipolar current and a ±1,5 V, ±15 V output. The instrument has a programmable memory for continuous, ramp or step output, and caters for all the usual DMM functions. There is a 1 ms peak-hold for glitch capture.
Various accessories are included such as test leads, 9 V battery, alligator clips and carrying case.
