Festo now offers a range of inductive sensors that fit flush in an 8 mm slot. The perfect fit of the SIES-8M brings customer benefits in terms of space, time saving and ease of use.
The sensor can be used to detect the position of an electric drive or the fingers of pneumatic grippers and metallic work pieces. Its twin LEDs, which light upon activation, makes one LED always visible no matter the angle at which the sensor is viewed.
Thanks to its slot mounting, the proximity sensor can be installed faster and more reliably than externally mounted sensors. It is held securely by a robust central mounting that also offers protection against mechanical stresses. Cables are available in standard lengths of between 0,3 and 10 m for use with drives of different sizes.
