Leroy Somer appoints KZN distributor
December 2010
News
Leroy Somer has appointed Bradcor Armature Winders as its official distributor in KwaZulu-Natal. “The company identified growing demand in the KZN region for the prompt supply of quality branded electric motors and drives, particularly for use in the shipping and sugar sectors,” says Grant Robertson, managing director of Leroy Somer South Africa. “Through this agreement, Bradcor Armature Winders offers the supply, installation, support and repair services for the Leroy Somer range of low voltage motors up to 300 kW, as well as alternators and drives. Bradcor also stocks the full range of LS AC motors at the Durban operation to provide reliable 24 hour service throughout the region.”
Many Leroy Somer products are adapted for special applications, particularly for supply to original equipment manufacturers. By integrating customised motors into original products, OEMs save production time and are assured that the LS motor installed will enhance performance, reduce maintenance requirements and extend the operating life of the driven equipment. Leroy Somer’s commitment to the KZN market encompasses providing cost-efficient, modular products as well as special solutions for specific applications.
