Temp-Tek has expanded its offering with the introduction of its Brainchild VR-06 range of paperless recorders. The VR-06 is a low cost, high quality, 6 channel process recorder with 160 mm TFT full colour screen, Ethernet IP and 200 m/sec sampling for all six channels and a far superior definition of 640 x 480 pixels.
All recordings are stored on an SD card mounted under the front panel. The recorder can display the information directly or the SD card can be inserted into a USB reader for subsequent download to a PC. Alternatively the Ethernet connection can be used for permanent connection of the recorder to a PC.
The VR-06 is of modular construction which allows users to add additional input or option cards with easy replacement of both cards and screen should a failure occur. Multiple options for the display of the recorded data include bar-graph indication (horizontal/vertical display) or numerical display only.
Federal Drug Administration compliance FDA 21 CFR part 11, allows inspectors or foreman to ‘sign’ data from the recorder digitally for certification purposes. The sophisticated software allows operators varying levels of access that can be programmed to expire after a pre-determined amount of time thus keeping the system up to date and preventing unauthorised access.
Other versions such as the Brainchild VR-18 can accept up to 18 channels and can totalise flow rates and perform square root extraction and other mathematical functions.
