IDC hosts safety conference
September 2010
News
IDC Technologies recently held its second Safety Control Systems Conference at Ambrosia Hall in Midrand from 20-22 July. The event attracted a knowledgeable selection of speakers and delegates from a wide range of industries, providing an opportunity for local engineers to discuss the issues affecting the safety industry in South Africa.
According to IDC Technologies it was fortunate to have a great mix of professional expertise and industry knowledge in Midrand, which created an interactive and engaging platform for the conference. It adds that feedback was overall very positive and looks forward to running the event again in 2012.
Edward Marszal undertook the journey from the USA to deliver the keynote speech. Marszal is the president of Kenexis Corporation, an ISA Fellow and former director of the ISA safety division. Presentations included case studies from local engineering companies such as Fluor, Exida, Vantage Control, Eskom, PAS Automation, TLC Engineering Solutions, AGE Technologies, Core System Integration, Omniflex, Siemens, Engen Refinery and Emerson.
