Beckhoff earns 236 million Euros

Beckhoff Automation closed the financial year 2009 with a worldwide turnover of 236 million euros; that corresponds to a decrease of 15% in comparison with the previous year. Beckhoff employs 1350 people worldwide (a 10% increase compared with the previous year).
Managing director Hans Beckhoff said that he was not dissatisfied and that the company had come through the crisis year in an acceptable fashion, remained profitable and invested further in the development of products. He added that the mechanical engineering and plant construction industries have been looking for more economical and powerful controllers, leaving the company well placed with its technologies such as PC-based control, EtherCAT and XFC.
