Mitech continues with global policy

May 2001 News

At a recent function, Mitech celebrated the official opening of their new premises in Kya Sand, Randburg. During the function, it was announced by Mike Sessions that in order to concentrate on their globalisation policy, he would assume the position of Chairman and Greg Walker, former Production Director, would take over the role of Managing Director, and be responsible for the day-to-day running of the company.

According to Sessions, it is the company's intention to continue with Mitech's expansion both locally and overseas, maintaining the same level of product and service excellence, which is synonymous with the company. Plans are in motion to broaden their customer base by exporting to Asia, in addition to the already gained African market.

Sessions affirmed his thanks to their customers, suppliers and staff who had given their loyal support over the years and had contributed to make Mitech a leading contender in the local market place. With their ISO 9001 certification gained in 1996 and their reputation for unparalleled experience in the design and manufacture of custom-built control valves, Mitech is in a position to offer their clients a true South African product at a reduced cost compared to imported units.

The local operation will be supported by a strong management team including Hennie Pretorious, Sales Manager, Mark Davidson, Sales Manager KwaZulu-Natal, Ian van Rensburg, West Rand Manager, Martin van der Merwe, Production Manager, Ian Loubsher, Engineering Manager and Geoff Proudfoot as Quality Control Manager. Mitech's clients can be guaranteed that their slogan 'Committed to Excellence' will still apply and be around for years to come.
