Tailor-made training programmes

April 2010 Training & Education

Instruments and equipment require expert handling to keep them running optimally and productively. A valuable question to be considered is whether staff are in complete command of the technology they handle on a daily basis? To this end, Endress+Hauser offers tailor made training programmes to ensure technical staff are competent and have the necessary skills to use its instruments with greater autonomy and efficiency.

Training for success

It is no secret that ongoing training is essential to remain competitive, particularly with productivity goals being continually revised upwards. Also, human capital plays an ever more important role in maximising business performance. Endress+Hauser’s tailor made training is designed to assist this through increasing productivity without compromising quality, safety or profitability. Improving the technician’s understanding of how equipment functions ensures that they apply the most appropriate maintenance procedure thereby prolonging the service life of equipment.

Furthermore, Endress+Hauser is committed to skills development and life-long learning which forms one of the cornerstones of the development of our country. Providing learning opportunities can only improve the level of skills available, not only to organisations, but to the country as a whole. “People development has always been as important to Endress+Hauser as the development of new technology,” elaborates MD Rob MacKenzie.

Training goal

Endress+Hauser’s technical training is geared towards practical skills development and is designed to provide technicians, maintenance staff, engineers and operators with critical know-how for commissioning, maintenance and interpretation of error diagnostics. The training team consists of experienced technicians accompanied by product specialists.

Structure of the training

Training programmes are developed in line with specific user needs in terms of instrument construction and handling, including:

* Measuring principles.

* Assembly and electrical connections.

* Commissioning, configuration and use.

* Maintenance, diagnostics, tooling and spare parts.

Training courses have both a theatrical as well as a practical component to ensure attendees become more familiar and comfortable using E+H instrumentation.
