On 27 January, guests of Mecosa were invited to the Benvenuto Conference & Training Centre in Johannesburg for the launch of the new Hamilton ARC System. Henning Springer, managing director of Mecosa, together with Dr Andreas Muller from Hamilton in Switzerland explained how the Hamilton ARC revolutionises the integration of sensors by rethinking communication between the sensor, end users and process control systems. The functionality of a traditional transmitter has been replaced by a microprocessor within the sensor. ARC sensors bypass the transmitter and communicate directly with the control system. Sensors are available in all standard pH, dissolved oxygen and conductivity formats.
The presentation was dynamic, interactive and informative and here Henning Springer is seen with Allister McMorran (Sales and Technical) entertaining the delegates with some problem-solving role playing.
